With More than 3 Billion in Spotify Streams Views by Drake is Very Popular

Views, the latest album released by Drake, has achieved more than 3 billion in Spotify streams. The fact that Views was an exclusive through Apple Music for the initial two week period after release makes this feat even more spectacular. The tracks on Views have been streamed more than 3 billion times. On April 28 Drizzy fans could begin streaming Views on Apple Music, and it was not until May 13 that the tracks were available through Spotify and other streaming services. Views debuted on the Billboard 200 chart in the #1 spot on My 21, and it stayed in the top 5 for the next 26 weeks. This week it is at #7.

One Dance, one of the top hits on Views, has earned Drake 924.5 million streams and has made the song the most streamed track ever on the Spotify service. Hotline Bling is in second with 556 million streams, and Too Good earned 426.5 streams. Even Summers Over Interlude, the track on Views streamed the last, had 23.5 million streams from fans. Hotline Bling recently joined the somewhat exclusive billion views club on YouTube as well, putting this track up there with Blank Space, Gangnam Style, and other popular hits.

Drake is the First to Have an Album, Hit 1 Billion Streams On Apple Music

Drake’s latest album Views has reached new heights, becoming the very first album on Apple Music to reach 1 billion streams.

This is a very impressive feat and it is memorialized by photos showing the celebratory plaque that Apple gave the Toronto rapper and a photo that shows Drizzy posing with Apple executives. A 23 minute feature film that Drake created called Please Forgive Me which accompanies Views on Apple Music. The world is looking up for ChampagnePapi and everything that the Canadian artist touches seems to turn to gold. Congrats to Drake for this enormous achievement.

Southern University Marching Band Performs Controlla by Drake (Watch Video)

The marching band for Southern University recently performed Drake’s Controlla, and the band did it very well. Drizzy can rest assured that he is one of the most popular musical artists right now and that his album Views has been widely recognized. The band, also frequently called the Human Jukebox, added some saxophone and trumpets to the hit track and the performance was flawless.

The choreography of the Dancing Dolls was impeccable and the Toronto rapper would be proud of their glove covered jazz hands. Drizzy is not the only star whose music has been performed by the marching band either. Father Stretch My Hands by Kanye West, Run This Town by Jay Z, and I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys have been performed in the past. These band members show that they definitely have style.

With Views From the 6 Forecasters Expect Drake to Set Career Record for Best Sales Week

Drake’s Views From the 6 is on track to sell over 800,000 copies in the very first week that it is available, and this would be a career best sales week for the Toronto rapper. The album was available exclusively through the iTunes Store, and it could only be streamed through Apple Music. In fact many believe that the final number of copies sold or streamed through the first week will equal more than 900,000. Republic Records sources have revealed that Drizzy’s newest album actually earned more than 630,000 equivalent units on the very first day that it was available when the Apple Music and iTunes data was combined.

If sales for Views From the 6 are as robust as the predictions believe this would make this the highest sales week of his career, surpassing the debut of Nothing Was the Same which sold 658,000 copies the first week it was available according to the data from Nielson Music. If Drizzy’s latest album does start on the charts with more than 800,000 copies sold during the first week it will only be the 10th to do so in the last decade, and Drake would be the first male artist to achieve this since 2013 when Justin Timberlake launched the 20/20 experience with 968,000 copies sold. The last 5 full length albums debuted by Drizzy were consecutive #1 debuts on the Billboard 200 charts:

2015- What a Time to be Alive
2015- If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late
2012- Nothing Was the Same
2012- Take Care
2010- Thank Me Later

Drake Slams Chrysler in Views Track Over Bentley Knockoff

“Keep the Family Close” is the opening track for Drake’s latest album Views. Views was just released late last week but the album and the tracks on it already have people talking. In the very first track on the album Drizzy disses Chrysler for the Chrysler 300, which is the flagship model for the car company and which is very similar in appearance to a Bentley. Drake uses the vehicle as a metaphor to identify potential that is still unfulfilled. The lyrics explain “Always saw you for what you could’ve been / Ever since you met me / Like when Chrysler made that one car that looked just like the Bentley”.

A mention by Drake in 2016 could either help or hurt a company, their bottom line, and the social image of the business. The truth is that Drake did not express anything that others have not already been thinking and saying. Since millennials tend to listen to Drake Chrysler can forget about selling the 300 to this group any time soon. Many point out that Drizzy is right, and the 300 seems to be a poor man’s version of a Bentley or even a Rolls Royce by a company who could do much better. Chrysler did attempt to manage the conversation and save face by tweeting Drake the message “keep it #300” but most saw this as an attempt to gain fake advertising and try to minimize the damage that the lyrics in Keep The Family Close could cause.

Bentley and Rolls Royce are luxury brands, and calling out Chrysler would be beneath both companies, but Drake says what he thinks and that is refreshing in the world today when celebrities could gain many perks for talking up a brand.

Drake Tells Fans More Than 600,000 Copies of His New Release Views From the 6 Were Sold in a Single Night

Views is the fourth studio album from Drake and it has been on top of the trending charts since being released less than a week ago. After the Thursday night release Drizzy decided to get out among his fans and bring his music to the city of Toronto last Friday. When the rapper from Toronto showed up in Younge and Dundas square in Toronto for a surprise visit fans were thrilled. This square is often called Jurassic Park because it is where fans of the Raptors go to watch their team play and cheer the players on to victory together. When Drizzy showed up he performed a live version of Energy, and then he watched the Raptors game from a building situated above the square with other fans.

The second show that Drake performed the same day was located at a private venue and it was a listening party which also featured Justin Bieber with a newly shaven head. Drizzy gave the Biebs a warm welcome and a big hug while telling the crowd to give it up for the incredible singles run that Bieber is on right now. Drake told the audience “Before anybody this year, it was this guy putting on the vibes.” Drizzy then gave out the biggest news yet, saying “I got a text message that we sold like 630,000-something records in one night, so that’s the first time I’ve ever done that shit, so thank you very much.” Nothing Was the Same by Drake currently holds the record for the biggest opening week so far with 658,000 copies sold. Views From the 6 could surpass this and take the first place position in this category. Clips from both performances can be found online for anyone who missed them.

7 Lyrics From Drake Which Show Nicki Minaj is the One That Got Away, and the One Drake Wanted to Marry

Views, the latest album from Drake which was released days ago, has had fans worried about doing something rash like trying to get back together with an ex. What has bothered some fans even more though is the news that Drizzy and Nicki Minaj are no longer close. When Drake gave an interview to Beats 1 Radio and Zane Lowe from Apple Music the Toronto rapper let it spill that he is no longer as close with Nicki as he was in the past. This distance could be because of the feud between Drizzy and Meek Mills, who is the current boyfriend of Minaj. Drake told Lowe that “I don’t really talk to Nicki. Another person I have a lot of love for. She dealt with me how I would expect her to—with class. I always have respect and love for her. Unfortunately, we haven’t spoke.”

Drake has rapped about many women in his career, but few have inspired him the way that Nicki Minaj has or are mentioned in his songs the same way. Drake has made his adoration for Minaj well known and has told the world that he is ready and willing when it comes to the Pink Print singer. Some of Drake’s lyrics in the past that show the depth of his feelings for Nicki include:

1. “Moment 4 Life,” Pink Friday: “F–k it, me and Nicki nick getting married today/ And all you bitches that be hating/ Can catch the bouquet”

2. “Miss Me,” Thank Me Later: “I love Nicki Minaj/ I told her I’d admit it/ I hope one day we get married just to say we f–king did it/ And girl I’m f–king serious I’m with it if you with it/ ‘Cause your verses turn me on and your pants are mighty fitted/ Uh, damn, I think you caught me in a moment.”

3. “Only,” The Pinkprint: “I never f–ked Nicki cause she got a man/ But when that’s over then I’m first in line/ And the other day in her Maybach/ I thought God damn, this is the perfect time/ We had just come from that video/ You know LA traffic, how the city slow/ She was sitting down on that big butt/ But I was still staring at the titties though”

4. “Back to Back,” (diss to Meek Mill): “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?/ I know that you gotta be a thug for her/ This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more”

5. “Tuscan Leather,” Nothing Was the Same: “Not even talkin’ to Nicki, communication is breakin’/ I dropped the ball on some personal shit, I need to embrace it”

6. “Charged Up,” (diss to Meek Mill): “Rumor has it, I either f–ked her or I never could, But rumor has it, hasn’t done you ni–as any good.”

And while the next one isn’t confirmed to be about Minaj, it definitely has you wondering, considering his interview remarks:

7. “Keep the Family Close,” Views: “All of my “let’s just be friends” are friends I don’t have anymore/ How do you not check on me when things go wrong…/ I always saw you for what you could’ve been/ And even when it’s business with you it’s personal again/ I knew you before you made ends meet now we’re meeting our ends

“And its all because you chose a side/ You’re supposed to put your pride aside and ride for me/ Guess it wasn’t time/ And of course you went and chose a side that wasn’t mine.”

Cover of Views From the 6 Photoshopped According to CN Tower in Toronto

The cover art for Views From the 6, the latest album from Drake which is set to be released soon, is the result of photoshop. This was revealed by the CN Tower in Toronto after the art work was revealed by Drizzy in a tweet and fans started to speculate. According to experts Drake would have to be 12 feet tall while sitting down for the photo to be authentic because the proportions in the photo are completely off.

The CN Tower is 550 miles tall and the cover art shows the Toronto rapper sitting on the edge near the top of the tower. Many online wondered whether Drake actually went up there or if Photoshop magic was used, and CN Tower finally put all of the speculation to rest after many pointed out the mathematical errors that the picture involved and how the sizes were completely off. With Views From the 6 coming out and a tour with Future scheduled to start later this year Drake may have very little time to relax.
