New developments show that Lil Wayne is not interested in reconciling with Birdman and label Cash Money Records, and the $1 million lawsuit will continue as planned. When Weezy performed at Comerica Park in Phoeniz, Arizona ober the weekend the rapper had plenty to say to fans over the whole dispute. Lil Wayne definitely has fans on his side and he was very vocal in his diss of Birdman, a man who used to be called a father figure by Weezy.
At the concert Lil Wayne told the crowd “Before I go any further, I want y’all to know I got two new albums coming y’all way. Fuck the Birdman. Fuck Cash Money. I’m going through a lot of bullshit right now. These niggas got me in bars right now. They don’t want to see me make good music. I don’t know what the fuck’s going on, but fuck them niggas. And I just want you to know if anything, if you thought that for any second I gave a fuck about it, I can’t because I got people like y’all that’s still supporting me.”
Lil Wayne is now a part owner in TIDAL, and the Free Weezy album has been released and is included in this platform. The beef between Weezy and Baby stems from Tha Carter V release being blocked by Birdman and the label. In July 2014 Lil Wayne announced that another album was also in the works, called Da Other Album. After Wayne’s statements in Phoenix it is obvious that the Lil Wayne / Birdman feud will not stop any time soon. Watch The Video Below:
During his NYE party held at the Miami hotspot E11EVEN Drake dropped some hints about when his newest album Views From The 6 will be out, telling friends and the crowd that the record is coming very soon. Jas Prince, a pal of the Toronto superstar Drake, filed to dismiss a federal lawsuit that was previously filed over unpaid royalties that amount to millions of dollars. The suit was originally filed against Aspire Music Group and Cash Money Records, but the motion to dismiss does not mean that he is willing to make peace with Birdman only that there may be a better venue for the lawsuit as far as Jas Prince is concerned. A few weeks ago there were rumors of settlement talks but if these talks actually occurred it is obvious they were not successful. According to the first lawsuit files Jas Prince claims that he is owed millions of dollars because he is the one who discovered Drake and brought him to the Attention of Cash Money Records and Birdman. Sources have stated that Jas Prince will refle the lawsuit in the state of New York.
