On Tuesday, August 16, 2016 Drake was performing in Detroit at the Joe Louis Arena for his Summer Sixteen Tour, and the Toronto rapper had the pleasure of bringing Eminem on stage to perform with him. Eminem is from Detroit and has made a very big name for himself in spite of his humble beginnings, becoming one of the first successful white rappers in the industry and gaining a huge fan base. When Drizzy brought Marshall Mathers out on stage the 6 God introduced him by saying “Detroit, make some noise for the greatest rapper that ever get on a mother—ing microphone”. The crowd went crazy, and Drake bowed to Marshall as well. Eminem responded by telling the crowd that “It’s an honor to share the stage with this man right here.” The rapper duo performed the hit Forever for the audience and fans could not get enough.
Seeing Slim Shady guest at a Drake performance was something few expected because of the beef between Drizzy and Joe Budden, who is an Eminem band mate in the group Slaughterhouse. Th beef started when Budden made comments in his podcast about his disappointment when it came to the latest Drake album Views. Since then things have escalated, with diss tracks, online trolling, and even jabs onstage and snarky remarks to the media. Drake and Future have their next performance in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the Consol Energy Center.
