Drake’s ‘Take Care’ Album Hits Double Platinum



Drake‘s sophomore album ‘Take Care’ has officially gone double platinum. This week Take Care reached a total of 2,002,708 copies sold, and earlier this week “Started From The Bottom” went platinum.

— Drake, Take Care, No. 101: With another 5,000 sold this week (down 37%), the album surpasses 2 million in sales. It’s the first rap album in over a year to sell 2 million copies. The last to do so was Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV, which crossed the mark in the SoundScan week ending Feb. 12, 2012. –Billboard
