In a recent Cosmo Web poll, Drake beat out Kanye West, Jay Sean, and B.o.B. as your favorite male recording artist of the moment. That’s no surprise, given the year he’s had. His latest album, Thank Me Later, debuted at number one, selling almost 450,000 copies in its first week, and he was recently nominated for a Grammy as best new artist. One other thing that makes Drake: The 24-year-old clearly appreciates the importance of foreplay.
Cosmo: Describe the most fearless thing you’ve done.
Drake: Rap about my life. Often, it’s like “Whoa, are you really gonna say that?”
Are you as open with your feelings in relationships as you are in your songs?
Definitely. I have an urge to communicate. I think I’m a change from what it would be like dating a normal guy who doesn’t talk too much.
What attracts you to a woman?
It’s the littlest things. I like the way a girl laughs, or I like the way she smells or the way she walks into the room. Or I like the way she orders food.
Wait, how could a girl order food to catch your attention?
I like when someone knows what they want.
Is there anything that feels as good as sex does?
When I finish writing a rap verse. It’s a lot like sex: You start off slow with ideas, like foreplay, and then you put your all into it. When you end it with the perfect thought, it’s like that perfect last stroke.
