Did Drake Respond To Jay Z’s “I Got The Keys” Snub On “Sneakin”?

Last night on OVO Sound Radio, Drake announced a new project, released four new songs, and threw some likely shots at rivals like Kid Cudi, Meek Mill, and Pusha T.

While all of those things got the attention they deserved—including some Twitter discussion about whether or not Drake’s Cudi diss was a rap line that went too far—it seems like Drake might have had a jab at Jay Z fly under the radar.

On “Sneakin,” he raps:

You ain't own it right away, you had to wait on niggas<br> Man I'm only 29 have some patience with us
― Drake (Ft. 21 Savage) – Sneakin’

He goes on to rap “Plus I never met nobody from my label nigga/I just pop up with the music then they pay a nigga,” too.

It’s worth noting, however, that Jay Z did own part of Roc-A-Fella Records when he dropped his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, in 1996. He was only 26 at the time.
